Two childhood friends from New York that love to eat burgers were frustrated by the lack of a comprehensive website devoted to this American staple. They decided to take matters into their own hands by creating a site that is easy to use while stacked with great information. It aspires to appeal to both New York residents and tourists alike, while cultivating a community of burger enthusiasts. The result was the creation of Burger NYC in 2009 by Jordan and Matt – the founders. They went on a burger eating expedition – reviewing the most popular burgers in New York. While they have been to many of these burger establishments in the past, they felt it prudent to re-visit together so that the reviews and ratings could be created with the memory fresh in their minds. As a user, you will find that the site is complete with original Burger NYC Reviews & Rankings, photos, an interactive message board, exclusive interviews with burger establishment owners/managers, user polls, links to burger-related sites, and other useful information. While the reviews often include commentary on the fries, atmosphere, price, and service, the ratings are based solely upon the quality and tastiness of the burger. The ranking scale is from 0 to 10, however the founders focused on the best burger places in the city and thus a ranking of less than 5 would be rare.
